Light Painting

This unique style of painting with light has been around since the beginning of photography over 200 years ago. It requires the use of a lengthy shutter speed to allow sources of light to trace and leave trails on the recording device of the camera (film or digital).

Combining this idea with the correct appertures and various light sources can produce beautiful and stimulating photography and it is something that will remain a past time and hopefully develop into larger projects.

Creatively considering how light will fall and just as importantly where it will not allows a wide range of effects to be achieved, sometimes with a very eery feel.
